Why one well-planned setup matters

Equipment works better when it fits the person, the room, and the daily routine.

A coordinated set

The Essentials option brings the main toileting, bathing, traction, lighting, and setup pieces together.

Fit checked first

Key room measurements, equipment compatibility, and the daily routine are checked before equipment is sent.

Guidance your family can use

Written placement and use notes help the family know what to set up first and what needs a qualified installer.

Why the complete setup matters

Safer support for toileting, bathing, and wet surfaces.

An occupational therapist looks at seat height, arm support, standing tolerance, reach, vision, and the room together. This combination reduces unsupported standing, improves traction, and gives the person more stable places to push from during bathroom tasks.

When needs have changed

Health changes can change what fits.

Why a home review can help

A home review helps match item choice, height, placement, cueing, and practice steps to the person's condition, body size, daily routine, and room layout.

Important safety note

Lantern Years safety setups are designed to help reduce common home hazards and support safer daily routines. They do not guarantee fall prevention and are not a substitute for emergency care, medical diagnosis, or in-person treatment when needed. If someone has fallen and may be injured, call emergency services or contact a medical professional.

Photos show example home arrangements. Numbered labels describe only what is visible in the photo; review the selected purchase option for the exact contents. Brands, colors, and sizes may vary based on fit, availability, and the home details you share.

Licensed home review, live guidance, and caregiver training are currently available for Wisconsin homes. Setup bundles without licensed review may be available in other U.S. states after fit and availability are confirmed.

Fit and availability are confirmed before equipment is sent. Most in-stock setup bundles leave within 3-5 business days after the needed measurements and room details are complete. If an item is delayed or a different model would fit better, you will hear from us before anything ships.

Unopened standard equipment may be returned within 30 days of delivery after contacting Lantern Years. Opened hygiene items and equipment that has been used or installed cannot be returned unless it arrived damaged or defective. Home review and training fees remain refundable until that work begins.

What is checked before anything ships

  • The person, room, measurements, and equipment compatibility are checked before equipment is sent or live guidance begins.
  • Seat height, weight rating, toilet shape, shower or tub dimensions, and the person’s transfer method must be confirmed before equipment is sent.
  • Grab bars and other structural supports must be installed by a qualified professional into an appropriate mounting surface.

Not included

  • Emergency response or urgent medical care
  • Structural installation, remodeling, or contractor labor
  • Insurance claim submission
  • A promise that falls cannot happen

Questions families ask

Is this the same as a medical evaluation?

No. These cash-pay safety setups are designed to help families reduce common home hazards and improve daily routines. They are not a substitute for emergency care or medical treatment.

Does this guarantee my parent will not fall?

No. No home setup can guarantee fall prevention. The goal is to reduce common hazards, improve safer routines, and help families make better equipment decisions.

Do you install grab bars or remodel bathrooms?

Lantern Years can provide placement guidance and help families understand what to ask an installer or contractor. Structural installation should be completed by a qualified professional.

Can I buy this after a fall?

Yes. These setups are designed for families responding to a fall, near-fall, hospitalization, or mobility change. If the person may be injured, seek medical care first.

Who designs the setup?

Setups are designed with occupational therapy-informed home safety guidance. Options with licensed review add placement guidance for the room details and photos the family shares.
